EMSvillage.com is developed for EMS professionals by EMS professionals. We accept a wide variety of material from our users for publication on the EMSvillage.com site. If you are an EMS professional and would like to have something of yours published, send your submission using one of the methods above.
All educational articles must have an "About The Author" paragraph (bio) at the bottom of each submission.
Authors should secure all necessary clearances and approvals prior to submission.
Receipt of all articles will be acknowledged immediately, and every effort will be made to advise contributors of the status of their submission within 24 hours of receipt.
-
Articles should be from 1,000 to 5,000 words. The most important element is content, not length.
-
Photographs and illustrations (including a photograph of each author) add greatly to the value of the articles. We encourage authors to include them. Photographs and illustrations may be submitted in hard copy format or in digital format. Photographs and illustrations submitted in digital format should be in thousands of colors and of good quality. You must have sufficient rights if you use scans form books and magazines.
-
References should be numbered in their order of appearance in the text. For journal articles, include author, title, journal, volume, page numbers and year. For books, include author, chapter title, book title, editor, page numbers, place of publication and date.
-
EMSvillage.com reserves the right to edit all articles for accuracy, clarity and length, as well as punctuation, spelling, grammar, syntax and other word usage.
-
These guidelines are provided for the convenience of the author; however, individuals desiring to contribute articles to EMSvillage.com should not hesitate to make inquiries even if they are unfamiliar with procedures for writing and submitting articles. The editorial staff is happy to assist in any way. Our goal is to provide relevant, high-quality information; to write and publish with absolute integrity; and to serve as effectively as possible the needs of the individuals involved in emergency medical services.
