Medics Ambulance Service EMS Zone |
Medics Ambulance Service will be taking control of our BLS 911 zone January 1 2008. Currently AMR is providing this service in place of Medics.
TO prepare for this Medics has hired in excess of 100 new employees, purchased 10 new ambulances, 12 lead EKG'S, 800 Mhz radios, Stryker stretchers, "Drive Cam's" and just about everything else imaginable.
All Medics vehicles contain GPS tracking, and the data is sent directly to our Zoll Data Cad system. We plan to utilize this information to help maintain our goal of an 8 minute average response time.
We anticipate approximately 900 emergency transports a month, and plan to put 6 dedicated and 6 "float" emergency trucks into service Jan 1.
